- Role: Application Writer / Creative Support Worker
- Hours: 7 hours per week (flexible)
- Rate: £150/week (invoiced monthly)
- Location: Hastings/East Sussex or remote
- Start: As soon as possible; ongoing
About Me
I’m a non-binary, neurodivergent creative working across:
- Audio-visual art and immersive media
- Live music performance; folk music, ceilidhs, and singing
- Audio production, mixing, and mastering
- …and more and everything in between
My workload includes:
- Administrative tasks: emails, contracts etc.
- Social media posts and website updates
- Researching commissions, residencies, and opportunities
- Application writing and reporting
- Project planning and logistics
- Budgeting, invoicing, quotes
About the Role
My neurodivergency presents daily struggles across all areas of my workload. I need someone that is patient, flexible, innovative and experienced with the transient, unpredictable nature of being a creative freelancer.
Key Responsibilities
Application Writing & Editing
- Draft, edit, and format applications; tailor to criteria
- Proofread for clarity and tone
- Maintain a bank of reusable copy (bios, project blurbs)
Research & Tracking
- Keep a simple opportunities list (deadlines, links, notes)
- Summarise requirements and next steps
Session & Admin Support
- Weekly check-in to set priorities and actions
- Take notes; turn meeting notes/voice memos into clear tasks
- Organise files and links; prep attachments and work samples
Content & Comms
- Creative copywriting for web and socials
- Schedule simple posts when needed
About You
- Patient and empathetic; comfortable with neurodiverse working styles (ADHD, dyslexia, PTSD)
- Experience in freelance creative industries (arts/music/immersive tech)
- Brings supportive, creative energy; enjoys collaborative working
- Highly organised (spreadsheets/calendars); strong time management
- Clear, creative written English; good eye for detail and emotional impact

Fee and Payment
